President BIPSS, Major General Muniruzzaman (Retd). has assumed the chair of Global Military Advisory Council on Climate Change (GMAC). BIPSS Successfully Organized a Discussion Session: “In Conversation with H.E. Dan Mozena, US Ambassador to Bangladesh” BIPSS Launches New Climate Change Project. BIPSS Published "BIPSS Issue Brief-10,January, 2012". BIPSS LAUNCHES STRATEGIC DIALOGUE FORUM. 3rd Yunnan-Bangladesh Dialogue to be held in Kunming in June 2013.

President BIPSS Major General A. N. M. Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc (Retd.) recently spoke at the workshop on “The Environment and Security in the Pacific Islands Region: Priority Risks, Challenges, And Actions for a Secure Future” in Honolulu, Hawaii. The workshop provided a comparative perspective on environmental change security risks and responses. Major General A. N. M. Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc (Retd.) spoke in the ‘Comparative Perspective’ session along with Dr. Haiwen Zhang, Deputy Director-General, China Institute for Marine Affairs, State Oceanic Administration, People’s Republic of China. The workshop was organized by US Pacific Command and Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS).
