BIPSS has successfully organized International Workshop on Counter Terrorism Capacity Building (CTCB VIII) for the regional Stakeholders. This was the fourth and last regional level workshop held in Dhaka. Representatives from all SAARC countries participated in the workshop. CTCB is a two year long British government supported capacity building workshops conducted under the auspices of Bangladesh Centre Terrorism Research (BCTR) - a specialized centre of BIPSS. During this five-day long workshop, exhaustive professional modules were offered by a team of international CT experts from the USA, Singapore and Bangladesh. Deputy British High Commissioner Mr. Nick Low was present at the concluding ceremony and handed over certificates to the participants. The workshop (CTCB-VIII) held from March 27-31, 2011 at Radisson Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka.
