Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS) held a roundtable on “The Af-Pak (Afghanistan-Pakistan) Imbroglio: Challenges and Prospects facing the Stakeholders”on the 13th of October 2010, at 3.30 pm. at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel. The ongoing conflict in Afghanistan is complex. It poses a major security challenge not only to that country but also to the region and the international system. It is therefore critical to understand and analyse the correct situation in Afghanistan and the stakes involved for all countries.

Mr. Syed Adnan Ali Shah Bukhari made the key note presentation at the round table. He focused on the threat of Talibanisation of FATA and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province. He is presently working as Associate Research Fellow and head of South and Central Asia at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research, Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

The round table was attended by subject experts and relevant stakeholders.
