BIPSS President Major General ANM Muniruzzaman (Retd.) spoke at Aspen Environmental Forum 2010 to held from 25^th to 28^th July in Aspen, USA. The theme of the major international conference this year was “Bridges to Sustainability: People, Planet and Possibilities.”The conference was also co-sponsored by National Geographic.

Key speakers of the conference included Major General ANM Muniruzzaman (Retd); Chris Jhons, Editor in Chief, The National Geographic Magazine; Mr. Mohan Munasinghe, Vice Chairman, IPCC (Inter Governmental Panel on Climate Change); Marvin Adum, President, Shell Oil Company; Strobe Talbot, President, Brookings Institute; Prof. Peter Huybers, Harvard University.

The conference brought together in the same platform a large number of experts, specialists, and policy makers working on climate change and climate policies.

President BIPSS spoke on “The Impact of Climate Change: Are Nations Secure?”at the conference. It may be mentioned that Major General ANM Muniruzzaman (Retd.) is a member of International Military Advisors Council (IMAC) on climate change.
