Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS) Was Held a National Conference on Climate Change and Non-Traditional Security Threats jointly with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS)on 11-12 April, 2012. The objective of the Conference is to explore the relationship between climate change and non-traditional security threats particularly focusing on human dimension of security ramifications of climate change in Bangladesh including food, water, livelihood, human health, and gender dimension.
The inauguration of the conference will take place at 10 am at La-Vita Hall, Hotel Lakeshore, Dhaka. Professor Dr. Alauddin Ahamed, Hon’ble Advisor to the Prime Minister on Education, Social Development & Political Affairs, Govt. of the people’s Republic of Bangladesh will kindly grace the occasion as Chief Guest.
