Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS) successfully organized the 2nd Yunnan-Bangladesh Cooperation Dialogue, BIPSS published The latest edition of "Peace and Security Review" Vol-4,No-8,Second Quarter2011 President BIPSS Major General Muniruzzaman (Retd.) spoke, on an invitation by the National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE), at 12th National Conference on Science, Policy and the Environment: Environment and Security held on January 18-20, 2012 in Washington, DC. BIPSS successfully held a Roundtable on “Civil-military Relations in Bangladesh: Challenges and Opportunities” on 21 November, 2011 at German House, BIPSS Lunches New Climate Change Project.

Avoiding Suicide Terrorism in Bangladesh
	The threat of suicide terrorism poses challenges for many societies and countries, Bangladesh is no exception. To study and analyze this issue, BIPSS Research Analyst Mr. Shafqat Munir, on secondment at International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research, A Centre of S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Singapore, has co-authored an article in the current issue of CTC Sentinel on the subject. The CTC Sentinel is a global publication on issues of terrorism and violence of the Combating Terrorism Center based in United States Military Academy, West Point. It harnesses the Center’s global network of scholars and practitioners to understand and confront contemporary threats posed by terrorism and other forms of political violence.
