BIPSS held an international workshop on Counter-Terrorism Capacity Building (CTCB) for the regional stakeholders. This is a two-year long British government funded and supported training programme conducted under the auspices of BCTR (Bangladesh Centre for Terrorism Research) - a specialised centre of BIPSS.  The CTCB is a capacity building training workshop which aims at developing the capacity of CT (counter terrorism) response community. The third regional-level workshop (CTCB 7) was held from 06-10 February 2011. Representatives from all the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) countries joined the workshop. During the five-day long workshop, exhaustive professional courses were offered by a team of international CT experts from USA, UK, Singapore and Bangladesh.
