BIPSS joins a new international study and research network called TRANSCEND (Transnational Challenges and Emerging Nations Dialogue), based at American University at Washington. This is a major research cluster and network under recognition of UNESCO, which will focus on emerging challenges facing the global community like human insecurity and non-traditional threats, multilateralism and governance, diffusion of power and governing regional world, ideas and unity of civilization etc. It may also be mentioned that BIPSS is also a leading member of another research network working primarily on non-traditional security issues called NTS-Asia based in Singapore.
