President BIPSS Major General Muniruzzaman (Retd.) was invited by Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation to attend and speak in the South Asian Conference held on July 3-5, 2011 in Berlin, Germany. In the conference, General Muniruzzaman spoke on the theme: “Climate Change and Environmental Degradation as Threats to National and Regional Stability: Common grounds for regional cooperation on crisis response and early warning systems?” in which highlighted the major national and regional vulnerabilities of South Asia to climate change and portrayed the case study of Bangladesh. He also explored avenues of regional cooperation mechanism among the South Asian countries in the coming years.
